The industry table on each district page groups employed residents into 13 broad categories (20 including sub-categories) based on the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). Because these categories are broad, a single group can include many different kinds of employers — for example, “Retail Trade” covers grocery stores, pharmacies, car dealerships, and clothing stores alike.
